I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye— Psalm 32:8 KJV
But Daddy Why?
That was the question, Daniel, my Seven years old son asked me the other day when I instructed him on the way I had wanted him do a particular thing. We monitor our children's behaviours, the companies they keep, the things they eat, the programmes they watch on televisions and virtually everything about them and tend to give them the right approach to life issues all because we know they are too tender to be left without being guided. In most cases, they believe, 'daddy is too strict, mummy is too restrictive; they won't just let us have our way', but, then, we know we mean well for them. But how often do we react the same way to God?
Our children's thinking and reactions to some of these corrective measures and instructions are not different from the way we, occasionally, react to God's instructions aimed at redirecting us from our assumed genuine courses.
When God, directs and instructs us, He is only trying to save us from ourselves because when there is no check on us, we will 'rock the boat' and will surely get it wrong.
Today God is telling us: stick to my plans, obey my instructions and you will eat the good of the land, 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you... thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
CONTINUE TO LEAN ON HIM AND BE BLESSED!
