YOU ARE IN HIS DIVINE PLAN

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.... Jer. 1:5 NIV
You are unique! You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are still that precious creature in His express image. Passing the gold through fire does not in any way diminish its worth, rather it beautifies and adds more value to it. Take your mind off the starting point, look beyond your present and set your eyes on your destination point. All things are yours,
YOU WILL GET THERE IN JESUS NAME.

Remain blessed!

ABOUT GIVING UP?

Text
1 Peter 1:7 KJV
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory....

Trial is not meant to destroy us. It is not designed to weaken us either. It rather perfects and strengthens. It prepares one for a greater responsibility, it is an aptitude test for promotion, it offloads one of every trust in self and man and points him to His Maker as the Source. It re-directs and re-focuses.

But because we feel the pains, the heat and hunger often associated with challenges, we often feel the night is too dark and seems not to be in a hurry to give way for the day and often, we are tempted to believe the sun may never shine again.

Come to think of it, so long as we are still in this flesh and blood, life will be boring, so boring without challenges; when you have everything you ever needed, when you drink everything you thirst for, when you eat everything you have appetite for, when you can afford everything that money can buy, when you go anywhere that comes to your mind, when there is nothing to hope for— life without expectations. But then, we will also be doomed as we may seem not to have any need for God.

In Psalm 43:5, The Psalmist in the maze of this seeming uncertainty found faith in the ability of God's unfailing love and promises, 'Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him...

There are things that must keep us going in the face of the reality of passing through the 'wilderness.' Anytime I go through challenges, I use to ask myself, 'What if God has just told the Host of Heaven that He knows Emechebe, that this his present challenge will rather bring out the best in him, can I afford to disappoint God? This keeps me going.

God knows that you can stand that trial; He would not allow it if you could not. It is His love for you that makes Him want to bring out the best in you however bitter it may be at such a time. God knows our strength and ability more than we think we know. With Prayers, Thanksgiving and Supplications, keep believing Him that the 'siege' will soon be over as He will definitely bring you to your Place of Abundance.

Thanking him is not for the grief or the problems we are facing, but for the strength he is building in us during these challenging moments .

Keep Moving!

THE STONE WILL SOON BE ROLLED AWAY.

Remain Blessed!

THE VANITY OF LIFE

Psalm 90:12 KJV
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Some years ago during the public presentation of my first book, IT IS WELL, I had the opportunity to discuss some family matters with one of my brothers. I expressed my worries about some sort of contention in the family as we are of polygamous background. Along the line, I said we can salvage the situation only if we all remember that this world is not our abiding place even as most of us have spent at least half of the years that we may ever live here on earth.
At that juncture, he caught in and said, 'No, no, no. I've not! I've not! He was then in his mid forties. That's the attitude of Man when it comes to the issue of life and death. Some of us believe here is our abiding place, we never give it a thought that we can be called home at whatever stage of our life by the owner of this life and that, also, informed the reason why man has successfully prepared for every other thing except death. Lord teach us to number our days.
Little wonder evil has also continued to be on the increase just because we have so much fixed our heart here on earth since it is where we have laid our treasure and have therefore forgotten that life is, 'even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.'(James 4:14 KJV).
A woman's daughter had some misunderstanding with a member of our local church and as soon as the woman got the information while on admission in a hospital, she beat her chest and vowed she will show that brother whom she is the moment she leaves the hospital. Her sickness was so minor that she never bothered about the possibility of not surviving it. She was already looking forward to returning home and showing her might to the teenager. But lo and behold, she died in the hospital and never returned to carry out her threat. Lord teach us to number our days.
A lot of people today believe they play the pipe and therefore the ones dictating the tune of the music. Because they were privileged to attain a certain position before others, they believed they hold both the Yam and the Knife and whosoever it pleases them or rather that dances to the tune of their music, they will cut out a piece for. They are never moved by the pains of their siblings, the nakedness of their immediate and distant relations, the trauma their neighbors are passing through. Their body language speaks only of Self, Self and Self. They have soon forgotten that, 'all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away( 1Pt.1:24). Lord teach us to number our days.
Ecclesiastes 11:8 KJV
But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.
Remain blessed!

DO NOT ABUSE THAT PRIVILEGE

Text:
2 Chronicles 26:15-16 KJV

....And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong. But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the Lord his God...
I pray against self destruction. I pray against every abuse of honour, favour, privilege and promotion. Let humility abound, even in Greatness, in Jesus name.

PESSIMISTS PROVED WRONG

John 1:44-46 KJV
Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

Never allow yourself to be pushed off the track by those who are quick in identifying one’s weaknesses and never spot the inestimable potentials in him, Be hopeful, believe and trust God, who is the Source of your hope and strength, work steadfastly towards actualizing that vision. Soon, very soon, it will be said of you that: YOU ARE A BLESSING TO YOUR GENERATION

THE MASTER'S BUSINESS

Text:
John 2:17 KJV.
And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up

The zeal, passion, enthusiasm and diligence with which our Lord Jesus Christ worked in his days here on earth made the disciples to remember the above prophecy written about him in the book of Psalms.

When we are called to serve, 'it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.' 1 Cor. 4:2. When we take a self appraisal of our input, our actions and inaction over a period of time in the Lord's Vineyard, can we be bold like Paul in his epistle to Timothy say, 'I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith...' 2 Timothy 4:7-8 2. The zeal and dedication with which we execute businesses that we have personal interest in, is it in any way in direct proportion with how we handle the Master's work and interest?

We absorb every insult and public rebuke from our superiors in our offices, yet we keep the job but we are always quick to throw in the towel in the church even for a secret rebuke. We often defy all odds; not even the rain or the scourging sun can make us not to be punctual on our duty posts, but can we go same extra mile when it comes to the business of the Lord? We can walk for days in the desert without food and water trying to cross over borders to a country where there is likelihood of greener pastures but can we do same in taking the gospel to a people that have not yet known God?

God sent a message to king Hezekiah to put his house in order for death is imminent, but turning to God, he prayed: 'I beseech thee, O Lord , remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight.... ' God added fifteen more years to him. Can we boast of one single thing we can hold on to when pleading our case with God?

If there is none, then the good news is that we can start now.

Remain Blessed!

RISING ABOVE YOUR PAST

Text Isaiah 43:18-22 KJV Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.

Stop bemoaning your past. It is gone and gone for good. It might yet not be a waste as you have adjudged. It can only be a wasteful period when you fail to learn from the experiences, shortcomings, actions, inaction, disappointments, and frustrations to the advantage of today and for tomorrow's consolidation.

THERE IS HOPE: Better is the end of a thing than the beginning says the scriptures. That is to say, God is saying to you now; 'Yes, I know you have a faulty foundation, a staggering starting, and a scandalous beginning, but all these does not constitute a technical knockout. Don't give up. You are not a failure, I will help you, I will strengthen you, I will empower you so that you show forth my praises. Jeremiah 29:11 KJV: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

WHAT NEXT? Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me , when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13

HE HAS LAID HIS HAND ON ME

Text
Habakkuk 2:3 KJV
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
The actualization of visions is a process. It comes in stages according to the predetermined counsel of God. God does not work according to our impulses, he is the perfect planner who is never late and causes all things to work together for the good of His own.
Yes, it is a process. The vision, the dreams, the promises, and the journey to your place of abundance are processes that only patience and perseverance can walk through the tough terrain of training and preparedness needed to handle that great position and high calling.
Know for sure in that process, you will be misunderstood, you will be misinterpreted, many, of course, will leave, many also will come, many will stand afar watching.
In all these, don't despair. He has laid His hand on you and will surely take you to your place of abundance and soon, very soon, it will be said of you: YOUR GOD IS AWESOME!
Remain Blessed!

GROWING UP TO MATURITY

Text:
1 Peter 2:2 KJV
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Growth is a significant aspect of human life. Growth starts right away after conception as the fetus begins to take different forms and shapes till the day of delivery. Right after this, there is a time the baby is expected to sit unaided, and also a time to start crawling, standing and eventually walking and It is always a sort of concern to every parent when this is delayed.
I remembered some months ago, when my wife ran to the sitting room with a great joy to announce to me that Gozie(our baby that was then eleven months stood up unassisted for the very first time, today he is already walking)
In this same vain, it should be the joy of every christian not only to grow spiritually but also monitor and encourage such spiritual maturity in his children even as they grow physically and mentally. 'And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him — Luke 2:40 KJV. It is not just enough to say we are saved, it is not also enough to say we know Christ while we continue to dwell in spiritual stagnancy, 'Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment— Hebrews 6:1-2 KJV
God has shown us the way to spiritual growth. He wants us not just to read the bible but also to meditate and apply what we read in our daily living. In the Word of God are the answers to all the questions and puzzles of life. In it lies the power to do all things through Christ Jesus; to win all battles and to keep standing(Joshua 1:8, Philippians 4:13).
When we are not growing, we are at the risk of receiving 'another gospel' (man's doctrine rather than God's). Galatians 1:6 KJV 'I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel.' Our lives and ways will be built and shaped according to theirs and not Christ's, and we live everyday at their mercy, 'And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you(2 Peter 2:3 KJV). We will also be at the risk of abandoning our first love and clinging to denominational dictum at the expense of the Word of God and in so doing, we will no longer jealously guide our salvation, 'Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ— Colossians 2:8 KJV.
Wrong Doctrine will impede our spiritual growth. We need to be at the right place where we can received the Word undiluted from the man on the Pulpit. We neglect this to our own peril.
The Church is not just a social gathering. It is the body of Christ, therefore every teaching must be in conformity with this single objective: 'To conform to the image of Christ'(Rom. 8:29). But where this is not so, you owe yourselve a great deal to walk away and ask the Holy Spirit to direct your steps to the right place. Ephesians 4:14 says, 'That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to' KJV.
Continue to grow in Grace, and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Remain Blessed!

LET ME LIVE MY LIFE?

Text:
Romans 14:7-8 AMP.
None of us lives to himself [but to the Lord], and none of us dies to himself [but to the Lord, for] If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or we die, we belong to the Lord.

Emeka has no room in his heart for the gospel of Christ. He sees preaching the Word of God to him as a deliberate attempt to upset him. The last time I tried to correct him for a certain anomaly, he quipped; What is your own? This is my life, allow me to live it the way I want. Hmmm, but then, I was taken aback as I wondered who or what made him think he has any life and that he is the one that sets the standard of how to live the life.

Emeka belonged to the class of the people the bible says their minds have been blinded by the devil that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine unto them— 2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV. He may not know or probably has forgotten that no man lives to himself and no man dies to himself. That it is appointed unto man to die once and after death, judgement  is immaterial, but what is paramount to him is the 'NOW' thing. For him, he is so much in a hurry to avail himself of all that this present world offers.

Nonetheless,  Emeka's position will neither thwart nor change or defer what the owner of the life that we live has ordained before the foundation of the earth; for He that will come will surely come and will not tarry as the scripture says.

We are mere stewards and everyone of us will one day stand before our righteous God to give account of the rare privileges and opportunities he has given us; The Wealth, the Fame, the Children, the Power, the Excellent Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding he has so much lavished on us for service to him and humanity. Yes, we must give account of how we managed or mismanaged them.

God's righteousness demands that he must surely reward the righteous, he is so righteous that he will never acquit those that will willingly choose to damn him and his Son Jesus Christ. 'For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse...' Romans 1:20 KJV

Some years ago, when I was in Togo, I remembered discussing with one of my neighbors and he asked me, Mr William,  this 'Christ Christ' you always talk about, since I was born I have been hearing that Jesus is coming soon, so also did my father and his forefathers before him, so will I also live and die without him ever coming. I was quick to reply him that the scripture has already provided the answer to this mockery as he belonged to the group that believed that the Second Coming of Christ is a mere illusion. 'Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation— 2 Peter 3:3-4 KJV.

The bottom line of the whole matter is, '...This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven'— Acts 1:11 KJV. This time around, not as a lamb to the slaughter or a dumb sheep before her shearers but as the Judge of the Great White Throne before whom both the great and small, the rich and the poor and, of course, the weak and the strong will appear.

BEHOLD, THE BRIDEGROOM COMETH! Occupy Till He Comes.

Remain Blessed!

FINDING HOPE IN THE 'HOPELESS SITUATION'

Text:
Heb.6:15NLT.
Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.

The pot gradually and steadily runs out of oil even as the bank account is already in the red. The clock ticks dutifully, drawing closer the children's school resumption after the the vacation which you wished may never come to an end. The more you wish the hand of the clock could be stayed, the more it seems to be moving at a jet speed, still drawing to your attention your responsibilities as a faithful father and a virtuous woman. But alas! God seems not to be responding in parallel to your own speed. Wait! Be Patient, Be Still, seems to be what you keep hearing.

Oftentimes, God keeps us waiting, even in the face of the realities of famine, face to face with a ravaging terror. Then, we ask, 'Is the time not yet ripe for the heaven to release the dew? Have we not wondered enough to get to our destination point?

The Psalmist found himself in the maze of this paradigm and when tabling his matter to God, he asked, 'Lord, how long wilt thou look on?— Psalm 35:17. But then, when he pulled himself together, he remembered that, 'the way of man is, really, not in himself... Jeremiah 10:23 and counseled his own soul to 'Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.'

His waiting was never in vain; for the promises of God in Christ Jesus are 'Yea and Amen.' In a process of time, to his astonishment and amazement, he exclaimed, "I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry." Beyond the expected Dew, there was a Great Shower.

The entire Jews, at a time, also expressed such extravagant joy, 'When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad-- Psalm 126:1-3 KJV.

Yes, such change is always greeted with great excitement, it erases all past trauma, it dries away tears as it puts songs in the mouth and melodies in the heart, but then, are we ready to wait? Can we pay the prize of waiting, can we bear the ridicule, face the humiliation, the despise? Can we bear the cost of being deserted and be ready to contend with the few friends who will, rather be judgmental than proffering solutions as in the case of Job? Will you be ready to tolerate your wife who will rather advertise your plight than being there for you at such a time?

The scripture affirms that, '...no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."—Heb. 12:11. KJV.

God never keeps us waiting without hope, without His presence and without sustaining us as He stands by His Word that He 'is faithful, and will not suffer us to be tempted above what we will be able to bear-1 Cor.10:13 KJV The psalmist from his own personal experience counsels, 'Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

HE MAKES ALL THINGS BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME!

THE VANITY OF LIFE

Psalm 90:12 KJV
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Some years ago during the public presentation of my first book, IT IS WELL, I had the opportunity to discuss some family matters with one of my brothers. I expressed my worries about some sort of contention in the family as we are of polygamous background. Along the line, I said we can salvage the situation only if we all remember that this world is not our abiding place even as most of us have spent at least half of the years that we may ever live here on earth.

At that juncture,  he cut in and said, 'No, no, no. I've not!
